I am responsible for the delivery of all brand business projects across the entire AO estate. This is an all-encompassing and very varied role involving projects such as website design and build, executive conference management (both in person, virtual and hybrid), sponsorship deals and assisting with c-level projects. All this whilst managing a multimillion pound budget.

I headed up the team responsible for the planning, scheduling and delivery of all IT projects within the business, across multiple development streams. This included the e-commerce websites (including ao.com, ao.de, ao.nl, and third party client sites), back office systems (both logistics and retail) and business intelligence and infrastructure.

I was the IT Project Manager responsible for all web changes to ao.com and other well-known retailers such as Next, Boots, B&Q, etc. I worked closely with the senior business analyst and senior tech leads, the development team delivered value as quickly as possible using agile mythology. This included working with both on shore and off shore teams.I was responsible for several large projects including the introduction of an additional category onto the website, introduction of a mobile journey using the same url, along with multiple strategic changes to the brand in preparation for TV advertising.

I was the IT Project Manager with a leading entertainment distributor responsible for all IT changes, including application, website and infrastructure. I was the functional expert, guiding internal customers through the development and deployment process for any IT change. This included taking the business requirement and defining the projects scope, business case and functional specification. I provided a link between the business, development team (and/or any third-party) throughout the development lifecycle.

I was the Manager responsible for the IT systems of the Central Finance business, which included both bespoke in house developed and 3rd party provided applications. I worked with the business and IT department to improvement processes and procedures to support the over IT strategy.
