Transportation Development Division Manager
Current- Strategic management and operational oversight of the Transportation Development Division within the Transportation Department consisting of 11 staff members and two work units - Engineering Review, and Right-of-Way Services - Responsibility for coordinating and performing regulatory review and permitting of transportation elements of privately-funded development projects and construction activities within the public right-of-way - Foster and maintain collaborative relationships and open communication with internal stakeholder departments as well as external agency, industry, and citizen stakeholders to address development and construction-related issues and concerns as well as promote efficient, effective, and mutually beneficial policies and processes- Review and analysis of overall program and work unit metrics for the purposes of identifying resource, process, and budgetary needs as well as guiding operational improvements within the program and work units- Collaborate with fellow members the City of Raleigh's multi-departmental Development Management Team to promote and achieve organizational service excellence through thorough and proactive response to organizational, industry, and market needs and trends- Collaboration with the Planning and Development Department, City Attorney’s Office, and other affected departments to evaluate the UDO, Raleigh Street Design Manual, and other City codes to propose updates and text changes as necessary - Facilitation of the City of Raleigh's acceptance of public right-of-way and utility infrastructure associated with private development projects, to include responsibility for the legal acceptance for continuous maintenance of such infrastructure
