I have many of goals within the RA realm and personal life. Within the RA realm my first goal is to create more community on my floor. It is difficult with upper classes, but I want to throw more engaging events for my residents. More long term within the RA world I want to become better in time management to advance and sharpen my quality of boards, door decs, etc before deadlines. This is a current goal of mine, but is a good goal to always have. Lastly, I want to get to know more RAs outside my staff. I want to do this because all RAs are on a team together, but I think I tend to gravitate to RAs on my staff. I believe it would be beneficial to get to more RAs my staff. A personal long term goal I have is I want to start working at the airlines at twenty-five years. This will give me a lengthy career. A second personal goal that I have is too graduate Colorado Mesa University with two degrees. I will be walking with my psychology degree in the spring and my aviation degree next spring. My last personal goal that I have is get my own apartment after I graduate with aviation degree. My SMART goal was to meet deadlines more consistently. To this point of the semester I have met all deadlines so I am already moving toward my goal. However, I want to keep carrying this goal to next year. Having effective time management will help my pursue this goal to the best of my ability. On my floor I was able to create community with the suite. Being in Grand Mesa and having suite style suites can have several roommates/suitemates so I was able to have suitemates get to know each other during floor meetings and encouraging to talk to their suitemates. That has gone well. What I can improve on is suite to suite connection. It is more difficult to encourage upper classes to connect with other suites, so that is a challenge I have had to navigate. My future endeavors include walking in psychology degree in the spring and aviation degree next spring. From there I want to become a certified flight instructor and teach other student how to fly airplanes. Then from there I want to go to SkyWest and work as an airline pilot.The RA position has helped me grow to become more knowledgeable in other perspectives and cultures. I have had been secluded in a sense and not familiar with different perspectives. This knowledge curve has helped me become more approachable and resourceful with what I can over as a RA.
