I am a professional IT Manager with 20 years experience managing complex Trading / Risk / Digital and E-Commerce platforms within Investment Banks. I have built an extensive understanding of how to design complex global support organisations that can manage and operate mission critical tier 1 business applications at scale. I am relentlessly focussed on improving platform stability , performance and availability while identifying and acting upon opportunities to eradicate toil , eliminate manual processes and therefore reduce costs. I have an extensive understanding of traditional ITIL constructs but more recently have focussed on Agility / Dev-Ops and Site reliability Engineering putting concepts and theories into practice and improving the speed with which we deliver new business functionality to market. I am an experienced manager with a passionate belief that success is dependent on continual evolution – I have significant experience of managing complex cloud migrations and understand how teams and managers need to adapt to these new paradigms.
