MANAGER OF LIFE AND ANNUITY OPERATIONS | 2019 to Present – DXC Technology, Des Moines, IAIn early 2016, MetLife announced its decision to separate its US Retail Life and Annuity business. That separation resulted in the creation of Brighthouse Financial (BHF). Subsequently BHF made the decision to outsourcing operations to a Third Party Administrator, DXC Technology. In the fall of 2019, my team was rebadged as DXC employees. As part of this transition, I was recruited to provide oversight and leadership for the BHF New Business, Death Claims, and Accounting organizations and providing motivational leadership during the rebadging process and system conversions. In the spring of 2022 I was asked to provide oversight and leadership for New Business, Underwriting, Licensing, and Commissions for all clients.

DIRECTOR OF ANNUITY OPERATIONS | 2013 to 2019 –MetLife, Des Moines, IAIn 2013, I was asked to lead the Death Claims teams (3 managers, 40 associates), in addition to New Business and Shared Services, to leverage similar high touch, case management processes through cross training and associate career pathing and development opportunities. My organization was selected as the first organization in MetLife across the globe to implement the Lean Management program. I selected the top 2 supervisors to become full time Lean coaches and train on that role. Over the next year my organization worked to train and implement all aspects of the Lean methodology and became a “best in class” site visited by MetLife organizations across the globe as well as our CEO and Executive leadership team.Key Achievements:● Implemented a LEAN operating model that resulted in a 35% cost saving through continuous improvement process that included successful value stream mapping projects with distribution, technology, compliance, and legal teams● Created an Advisor Council that held quarterly collaborative reviews with top advisors to understand specific pain points, determine the root cause, and build/implement plans to improve the advisor experience● Developed a standardized metrics suite that included individual daily productivity/quality data along with volume and staffing forecast modeling● Collaborated with multiple areas to perform cross-functional value stream mapping projects to improve efficiencies and increase our customer service survey by 20%● Sponsored an initiative in partnership with distribution to drive new business “not in good order rates” down from 42% to 25% through a review of applications and forms, creating and utilizing advisor specific metrics to identify trends, and proactive communication with advisors

DIRECTOR OF ANNUITY NEW BUSINESS AND SHARED SERVICES | 2008 to 2012 –MetLife, Des Moines, IATo support expanding scale of operations in Des Moines, I was asked to lead the New Business processing, Suitability and Inbound Phone teams, as well as Shared Services (Remittance, Licensing, Compensation, and Mailroom teams). Key focus was on team building and career pathing to successfully support the significant growth in business volumes. Key Achievements:● onboarded 100 temporary associates and extended OT across organization to support extraordinary growth in New Business volumes and manage regulatory clocks and standards. In 2011, MetLife experienced $30B in Annuity Revenue against a stated plan of $18B● Continued to drive efficiencies via consolidation of mailroom and compensation teams to Des Moines as well as standardization and automation of processing across organization resulting in a 50% cost reduction● Constant motivational leadership and coaching to leadership team and associates. Implemented an associate led council to engage in stress releasing and team building activities. Significantly leveraged a variety of recognition and rewards programs to acknowledge the above and beyond work of individuals and teams● Proactively partnered with Distribution organizations to enhance communications, forecasting, and extended readiness lead times to get in front of rapid growth. ● Built robust WIP monitoring and reporting for key stakeholders

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS AUTOMATION AND TECHNOLOGY | 2001 to 2010 –MetLife, Des Moines, IAIn 2001, MetLife launched Annuities as a core product offering. Through acquisitions, MetLife had 5 separate company annuity deferred platforms and products from coast to coast that generated $3B in Annuity revenue. Des Moines was selected as the enterprise site and I was recruited to assemble a team of 20-30 business analysts (SME’s from the business) to interface with Product Management, Distribution, Legal/Compliance, and Operations executives on launching an scalable enterprise Annuity product chassis and operational platform for Variable and Fixed Products for both MetLife and independent agents. By 2007, Annuity revenue grew to $8B while total headcount decreased by 30%.Key Achievements:● Overhauled firm/advisor contracting, licensing, and compensation system to support selling agreements, appointing, and paying 900+ firms and 100,000 advisors from diverse market channels (Broker/Dealer, Wirehouse, Bank, Independent Marketing Organizations)● Implemented a new administrative system to support the launch of 30 Enterprise Variable and Fixed products across multiple Distribution channels● Built a web-based interface in front of the administrative system to support a simplified, rules based, data entry platform for New Business as well as 90% of in-force transactions● Partnered with strategic firms to support proprietary and industry standard electronic platforms for New Business, In-force, and Money Settlement feeds. ● Launched proprietary image & workflow system to support paperless processing● Member of senior leadership team that supported the $11.5 billion acquisition and integration of Traveler’s Life and Annuity business in 2005, a 33% increase in legacy Annuity in-force contracts● Converted 5 Deferred and 9 Payout legacy systems onto enterprise chassis● Managed Production Support and Defect team.
