Responsibility:Responsible for the architecting, analysis, design, development and support of a Field service despatch/job management system used by the National Road Mobile Association of New South Wales, Australia. The system logs road side incidents/jobs via an application called CallTaker. Once a job is logged it can get despatched manually through an application called Despatcher. Communication with field operators happen via WCF web services, SMS or MSMQ depending on the type of device.Technology:Development is mainly done in C# (.Net 3.5 / 4.0) and Oracle 9 & 11. Bug fixes and minor enhancements are also done on the existing n-tier system written in VB6 and .NET. The system works across many mobile users, calltakers and service providers.
