I worked on a research and development project for an in-car driver and passenger monitoring system to find out their health status. This includes studying state-of-the-art methods, evaluating them in a real environment, and proposing and implementing possible improvements.Our team developed a Python application for recording datasets with image data together with various reference data for model training and evaluation. My main task was to design the app's architecture and mainly develop a module for capturing data from Basler cameras, which included advanced parallelization and optimization. Another outcome was an estimation model that was based on signal-processing methods.As a side project, we developed an application that visualizes real-time outputs from our computer vision models for cabin monitoring.
