In addition to leading the Car Insurance product line, I now oversee Lemonade’s Data Platform organization, managing teams responsible for Data Engineering Infrastructure, ML Platform Engineering, and BI Engineering.

Led the engineering organization for the Lemonade Car Insurance product line, managing teams across Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, the US, and LATAM.- Part of the Car Insurance founding team, transforming it from a concept into a product that customers love and trust, while leading 6 engineering teams across Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, and the US.- Oversaw the integration of the Metromile “Per Per Mile” product post-acquisition, leading 5 additional remote engineering teams. This involved integrating them into the organization, maintaining product availability, and rebuilding the product on Lemonade’s infrastructure while migrating customers.- Led the expansion into multiple states across the US and the implementation of complex, technology-driven offerings.- Co-designed Lemonade’s Telematics pipeline, effectively managing driving data from various sensors and sources.- Played an active role in the company leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and company-wide initiatives.In addition to leading the Car product, I significantly contributed to setting and improving cross-R&D processes, including adapting hiring strategies to support growth, creating an onboarding plan for engineering managers, and evaluating external tools. I also conducted engineering manager training sessions on squad rituals, guiding people growth, and delivery management.

Led a squad of 13 engineers responsible for Lemonade’s claim submission flows and claim handling processes across all product lines and geographies.The squad’s responsibilities included:- Owning the customer-facing claim submission flows for all product lines, and implementing new ones for new product lines.- Developing and maintaining Lemonade’s internal claims handling system, introducing automations and technological solutions to boost efficiency and streamline operations.- Implementing the shared infrastructure for Lemonade claims, standardizing features across all product lines. I championed this approach within the engineering organization and co-designed the solution in use today. I continued to serve as the guild lead for claims handling after the squad was split, ensuring consistency and best practices across the newly formed squads.In addition to leading the team, I played a key role in recruiting and onboarding new engineers and engineering managers. I also shared knowledge across the organization by giving technical and management-related sessions, fostering both technical excellence and leadership development within the team.

Engineering Managers IL is a community of over 1,300 engineering managers in Israel, fostering knowledge sharing through virtual discussions and monthly meetups. The community encourages members to seek guidance, offer assistance, and connect with like-minded individuals in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Led teams responsible for delivering end-to-end features and critical architecture improvements across the BigPanda product.- Built and led a team of 10 FullStack engineers, responsible for the delivery of end-to-end features across the BigPanda product.- Led a specialized team of experienced consultants and freelance software engineers, focusing on architecture improvements, complex problem-solving, and delivery of critical initiatives.- Revamped recruitment efforts, successfully hiring both Engineering Managers and FullStack Engineers to scale the team.- Owned and managed the Engineering’s Incident Management process, ensuring swift resolution of incidents and minimal downtime.- Initiated and developed the Root Cause Changes feature, which ingests changes from various sources and uses machine learning (ML) to correlate them with alerts, rapidly isolating the root cause of incidents or outages and enabling teams to quickly resolve issues.

Designed and delivered end-to-end features across the BigPanda alerts pipeline, enhancing the platform’s ability to process and manage large volumes of data.- Led the development of BigPanda’s access control services platform (RBAC), ensuring robust and scalable role-based access management across customers’ organizations.- Developed new integrations of monitoring and observability tools, compatible with the self-serve platform for future customer integrations.- Implemented advanced filtering, normalization, and deduplication processes for events.- Enhanced alerts correlation to create unified events, reducing noise and enabling more effective incident management.

Container Management Team. Contributed to developing and maintaining OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible, and ManageIQ projects, focusing on scalable container management solutions.- Maintained and implemented several Ansible modules, streamlining change management processes and automating infrastructure tasks.- Collaborated with global development teams, driving the integration of Kubernetes and OpenShift with enterprise environments, enhancing deployment efficiency.- Enhanced the ManageIQ project by integrating advanced container management features, improving resource utilization and system performance.

OpenStack team. Contributed to the development of the web dashboard (Horizon) and the identity service (Keystone) in the OpenStack cloud platform.- Collaborated with cross-functional teams in an open-source environment, adhering to agile methodologies.- Leveraged Python, Django, and Bash scripting to implement features and automate processes.- Actively engaged in the OpenStack community, participating in code reviews and discussions.
