As a research and development manager in Mill Perner for more than 5 years, I focus on the development of new milling and bakery produtcs, expert counsel on innovative food technologies, product quality and authenticity, nutritional value and health claims related to cereal chemistry and technology.I take a strategic approach to problem solving trying to understand the bigger picture first. This means that I respect my colleagues and I value their opinions before I make the final decision as a team leader. Effective communication is one my of key strengths and for that reason I represent Mill Perner at international exhibitions such as IBA Munich and Food and Drink Expo in Birmingham. Organizing seminars for our customers from bakeries is also one of my responsibilities I enjoy.Recently I started focusing on the sustainability of our company and I am in charge of ESG strategy development. This includes carbon footprint calculation and setting science-based targets for the future years. The important part of this project involves communication with high-value customers and coordination of activities which will help interested parties to have a meaningful impact on carbon emission reduction.In my free time, I established a contract brewery with an innovative product (beer brewed from staple bread) in 2023 where I am in charge of production, organization and sales. Since 2022, I have been invited 4 times as a guest on a Czech Television TV show popularizing bread chemistry and science.
