Managed all demolition, structural, and architectural trades for the transformation of an existing 70-year-old structure into a new 27-floor, 1.4-million-sq-ft office tower companion to the adjacent Manhattan federal landmark, the 5 Madison clock tower. This included demolition of 5 floors of the existing building and a core cut-out for new superstructure foundation/core. Managed all contracts, change orders, requisition, and project scheduling. Coordinated and participated in contractor principal safety meetings, owner and client meetings, and all permitting and logistics meetings.

Structural Steel Superintendent for the One Vanderbilt Project in New York City. Coordination of superstructure work with other trades. Managed daily reports, coordinating submittals, and other construction documentation for the field staff. Coordinated concrete work with structural steel interfaces at the building core and various concrete reinforced slabs. Delegated survey crew tasks for job site layout and As-Built’s. Scheduled weekly foreman’s meetings for job site trade coordination. Aided in the supervision of critical and tandem picks with the two job site tower cranes.

Coordinating with the construction manager regarding schedule, cost, and engineering requirements for our scope of work. Aiding the field superintendent with daily time sheets and material procurement for our field labor. Creating cost reports for weekly/monthly projections and cost to complete analysis. Responsible for maintaining submittal and procurement schedule for all scope of work items including custom metal ceilings, glass fiber reinforced concrete caps, exterior/interior wall framing, direct applied exterior finish systems, steel door frames and hardware, etc. Coordinating with construction manager and MEP trades for post tensioned slab inserts as required for an engineered ceiling systems meeting FM Global wind requirements. Manage all RFI’s, updating drawing sets, and change order logs.

Coordinated major buyouts for the 443 Greenwich Street Project with the Project Manager. Performed take offs, created scope of works, and performed bid analysis for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, mill work, etc. Attended buy-out meetings with the project team and owners representative for contract negotiations. Created Exhibit A-1’s for insertion into base contract for major scopes of work. Coordinated the mechanical and plumbing subcontractor with AutoCAD for penetration layout through composite slabs for reinforcement design by the structural engineer. Aided the job site superintendents with reinforcement layout of major slab penetration locations.

Project Engineer responsible for all architectural items for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of 63rd Street Station/Lexington Avenue Station Contract C-26006 Part of Second Avenue Subway. Managing all subcontractors for architectural work including miscellaneous metals, stations finishes, and specialty trades. Manage schedule, cost, and other reports. Laid out platform edge and finish floor elevations for granite pavers and rubbing board installation. Survey conditions and creating AutoCAD drawings for platform service carrier installation. Manage intumescent fireproofing paint on all exposed structural steel members. Coordinating all aspects of station/platform stair installation.

Worked on the Improvements to Seven Stations and Line Structure Rehabilitation West End Line (BMT) Contract A-35797 as the Bay Parkway Station engineer. Aided in planning and scheduling work for construction phasing. Managed all M.E.P. and elevator subcontractors. Coordinated historical restoration of cast iron and mosaic components. Attended NYCT progress meetings as a contractor representative. Surveyed structural steel components and created drawings for various line structure repairs.

Worked on the 59th Street Columbus Circle Subway Station Rehabilitation Contracts A-35909/A-35910/A-35911 on the intermediate and north mezzanine rooms for expedited NYCT employee move in. Created spreadsheets to organize inventory for remaining door hardware and station signage. Worked on bollard installation in front of Trump Hotel and Columbus Circle. Completed survey drawings of historic faience layouts and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.

Worked on the Northeastern University Parcel 18 development with the general contractor, subcontractors, architects, and engineers during construction as quality assurance for Northeastern University. Was on site for various inspections and helped the Clerk of the Works put together daily reports. Continued working part time during school on documenting and creating a database of the precast panels, and managed punch lists.

Greater Boston Area

Worked on the One Franklin Street Filene's Redevelopment project. Performed surveying with the field engineer, coordinated meetings with the subcontractors, and created weekly safety reports. Monitored pit excavation for slurry wall installation. Aided the assistant project manager to create scopes of work for winter protection of the existing historic Burnham and 1905 buildings.
