AFJROTC objectives are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship and life skills, promote community service, instill a sense of responsibility and develop character, leadership and self-discipline through education and instruction in air and space fundamentals and the Air Force’s core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence In All We Do.

Advise the commander on all issues affecting the readiness, health, morale, quality of life, management and effective utilization of over 1,100 military, civilian and contracted personnel who provides mission support to 11,000 personnel assigned to the Air Force Test Center, AF Research Laboratory, NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center, and 41 associate units on a 308,000 acre base. Provides strategic guidance and senior leader counsel for all group organizations to include AAFES, DeCA, Logistics Readiness, Force Support Squadron Security Forces Squadron, and Communications Squadron. As the senior enlisted leader in the group, responsible for advising the group commander on actions and reports as well as overseeing compliance with standards of conduct, appearance, performance and protocol.
