Overall accountability for all metrology and engineering projects currently in progress within Physical Digital, ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget, whilst exceeding customer expectations. Continuous improvement of engineering excellence within all departments through the implementation of quality management systems, such as ISO9001 and NADCAP accreditation, along with management of specialised technical training, mentoring and staff development within the business. Writing of complex project plans for bids and tenders including: resource allocation, financial planning, detailed specifications and timeframes, along with technical assessment of measurement capability based on standard statistical methods. Experience in leading complex projects, including fixture design, manufacture, automated programming and inspection within automotive and aerospace manufacturing. Producing repeatability and reproducibility assessments to customer standards, including CMM correlation exercises for direct production integration of 3D scanning systems.Providing engineering based strategy proposals to directors based on analysis of industry, technology and customer requirements to maintain the market leading position of the business within the UK metrology industry. This includes regular competitor benchmarking of hardware, using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a technology roadmap for the business.

My role as the senior applications engineer is to oversee the metrology work being carried out within the company. Responsibilities including resource allocation, project plans, timings and overall process control. I also oversee the CAD department within the company and am proficient in a number of packages. I play an active role in the design and reverse engineering side of the business and have strong understanding of GD&T from both design and inspection perspectives, along with an excellent knowledge of complex manufacturing drawings across many industries, to common drawings standards, including ISO/ASME Very strong understanding of reverse engineering in projects ranging from remanufacturing of industrial gas turbines to cylinder heads, using a wide range of industrial measurement techniques, including GOM 3D scanning, Computed Tomography (CT) and shadowgraph. Management of data from these sources to redefine design-intent geometry, based on statistical methods.

Physical Digital offers the highest accuracy 3D scanning service available, using the industry leading GOM optical scanning systems. My role within the company included delivering complex metrology solutions to customers, both on and offsite. I was responsible for the CAD and reverse engineering solutions within the business.

The Druids Head is a large, 150 cover, modern traditional bar owned by the Greene King Pub Company with 70/30 Wet/Dry sales and a large turnover. It won the ‘Best Pub in Kingston’ award three years running and is distinguished by its diverse menu, excellent surrounding and friendly, well trained staff. I became competent with all aspects of the business and provide management cover at other Greene King venues. My main responsibilities included stock taking, marketing, running front of house and staff management.
