ConEst Software systems has been in business since 1989, originally a company providing electrical estimates for contractors, they quickly transitioned to developing estimating software. Fueled by the real-world experience of estimators and electricians, our software enjoys a wide user base and is considered by many to be the leading software estimation platform.My role there involves providing technical support to our customers in every aspect, from initial installation, to implementation over nonstandard network environments, to troubleshooting deep and advanced problems within the software and its SQL database.I have also taken an active role in software testing, developing methods and reporting bugs using both the Test Track utility we used before and our new Bugzilla platform. I work directly with development providing both replication instructions as well as virtualized environments to demonstrate issues requiring specific conditions, and provide SQL queries to solve simple issues.I am also responsible for handling IT tasks including managing Active Directory, setting up new systems for employees, diagnosing hardware and software problems on everything from standalone workstations to virtualized server environments, and I work closely with both our contracted IT company and our phone system vendor to solve issues and increase productivity.During my time here in addition to my support and testing duties, I've migrated multiple vital server systems to virtualized environments, replaced our old expensive customer service center web server with a much less expensive and faster cloud-based alternative, replaced ICQ as an intra-office messenger with a more secure, open-source, internal-only openfire system which I continue to manage.

I answered technical support calls for music on hold devices and the software that supported some of them. I also performed remote software installation and configuration using webex and gotomeeting software, and provided training.
