I am a highly professional and competent individual who earned the level 3 close protection in the private security industry qualification in August 2024, earning the title of "students" student on the course and taking on the role as team leader on the final exercise of the course. Having already completed to an high standard the ECFR ( emergency care for first responders) level 3 course. Before taking on my current role I developed my experience as a security officer where I was tasked with working on various sites and locations in the most deprived areas of West Yorkshire. In-between this period I served in the British army in the Military provost guard service, a unit tasked in providing armed security to military establishments working at such places at the commando training centre royal marines in Devon after completing an intensive defence guarding course at the defence policing and guarding training establishment at South Wick park. Before my time in these roles I served in the royal engineers and infantry for a total of just over 9 years. Serving in Kenya, Oman, Jordan, Germany, Afghanistan, Cyprus and Canada. My main operational experience came from a tour of Afghanistan where I was part of a specialist team conducting counter improvised explosive device operations where I specialised as a searcher, working in some of the most hostile locations in Helmand province in 2011. Whilst in the royal engineers I was a communications specialist maintaining sophisticated telecommunications equipment on exercises and operations throughout the world. In 2013 I transferred to the infantry serving in what is now called The Royal Yorkshire regiment. Where I served initially in a rifle company deploying on an infantry exercise to Kenya. Then once returning to the UK I attended and completed a specialist anti tank cadre where I was trained in operating the javelin anti tank weapon and the NLAW ( next generation anti tank weapon) anti tank weapon. Whilst in this role I deployed to Canada on a large armoured battle group exercise where I was apart of a team that was tasked in providing the anti tank capability throughout the battle group. I am passionate about progressing in the private security industry and utilising my experience from my time in the British army to be an effective member within a security team to provide the best service to customers and clients. I maintain a good level of physical fitness by doing weight training, kettlebell training, running, walking, and CrossFit style workouts.
