Prepare espresso drinks, up to five at a time for a busy clientele of lawyers and Yale students as ten to twenty drinks piled up for hours of a shift with a line out of the door. Skills gained: temperament, sociability, cool-headedness, overriding automated movements on a dime, responsibility to exhausting work, using every second as an opportunity to do more, etc. Other requirements include cleaning any and every thing inside and out, prepping; making coffee and tea, retail, teamwork, timeliness, knowing to work past the scheduled time when necessary, and being eclectic in knowledge for valuable, fluid conversation as well as attention to detail and specifics.
