• Performed line improvement on heat exchanger production line (line layout was redesigned by relocating certain work stations, removing unnecessary work stations, consolidating some work stations, identifying locations for store and pull items as well bringing in more efficient and modern equipment, resulting in increased overall efficiency in terms of worker movement and manufacturing output. • Performed time study, process cycle time and process improvement to reduce manufacturing overhead. This also results in cost saving on labour overhead and maintenance costs. • Selected to attend training in Dunham-Bush Yantai, China on Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and the Kanban pull system for 2 weeks. • Following the training in Yantai, I was instrumental in the implementation of VSM and Kanban pull system at the heat exchanger production line. • Worked with Production, QC, Engineering Design and other departments in improving product quality and cost containment. • Involved in establishing manufacturing process (MP) documentation and work instruction (WI) in support of continuous process change and improvement. • Helped develop production routing processes, product cost standard hours (CSH) and configurator setup in support of JDE implementation for existing as well as new products. • Liaised with Sales and Application Department to provide manufacturing information to support job quotation.
