Hi,I grew up in the San Diego area, but left in 2004 to pursue a journalism degree in Boston, where I lived until 2016. I attended Boston University on a four-year, full tuition scholarship. During that time I spent semesters abroad in Peru and Spain, as well as Washington, D.C., where I covered Capitol Hill as a correspondent. After school, I spent six years bartending at two iconic Boston landmarks: the Paradise Rock Club, a large music venue that has anchored the Boston music scene since 1977, and the Bleacher Bar, the only street-accessible bar with a view inside Fenway Park, where you can watch a live game without a ticket. I loved being part of these community institutions, and I learned how to thrive in a high-stress environment. In San Diego I've worked at Fireside by the Patio, BO-beau Kitchen + Garden, and Indigo Grill - Chef Deborah Scott's Little Italy institution, where I developed an original mezcal-focused cocktail program - but my passion for communications has never wavered.I know the importance of preparation and teamwork, and I know there is always more to learn, whether it be bartending, journalism, marketing, or any other industry. I value standards and consistency, and I don't sacrifice quality for speed. I am detail oriented, adaptive and efficient. I'm always up for another challenge and a new lesson.Cheers!
