I enrolled as a Java coding bootcamp student at Tech Elevator. Some of the projects I worked on include:PacePursuit - Created an application with Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL to track my running performance. Pull data from Strava API where I can track my goals, bundle up my statistics and call on OpenAI’s api to act as my coach and motivator. Handled the consumption of OAuth 2.0 RESTful APIs.Bannerizer - Application built using Java, Spring Boot, and the Laylos jfiglet to allow anyone to create colorful ascii banners for their Spring Boot server. Allows users to customize the figlet font, colors, gradients, borders while giving a preview of the final product. Eventually outputs a banner into your Spring Boot application’s root.Tenmo - Built a mock money transferring system using Java, Spring Boot PostgreSQL, and Postman. Followed REST principles in creating an API to handle the secure transfer of funds between users. Added additional ability to create new accounts, set up scheduled payments and request transfers.Plant Pal - A website to connect plant lover's and those just curious to a world of information and knowledge plants of all types. Created a Java backend with Spring Boot and integrated a plant API called Perenual and also OpenAi's API for it's GPT-3.5 LLM. Built the front end using Vue.js. Users can lookup plant information, curate their own "garden", get plant care recommendations for their garden, and talk to the Garden Guru; a happy garden gnome that uses the GPT-3.5 LLM to give gardening advice and recommendations.
