Delivering our first customers onto the Orion's new AWS platform and ensuring a smooth experience. In this role I looked to deliver faster ways to build and deploy our Healthcare software products to customers. I produced high level architectural designs through to proven enterprise solutions, I help to develop solutions, whilst providing leadership, guidance & governance to others to ensure we build industry leading solutions necessary to continue the success of Orion Health’s software. I provided mentorship to local and global teams on the tools, techniques and processes developed to provide consistent and redeployable solutions.

Reducing time to market is a key business driver for Orion, which created the strategic goal to invest in developing automation. I provide expert technical knowledge of the operational requirements and facilitate solutions that are easily adopted and highly supportable by our support teams, and our clients. The configuration automation capability in tandem with ‘Infrastructure as Code’ allowed for repeatable deployments. My role covered design and execution of Orion Health’s vision for continuous integration and automation as the SAAS offering for their customers, to provide a highly-performant, scalable and resilient solution.

This role started as a software developer but grew to include developing a continuous integration and deployment environment. My key task was to ensure build consistency and robustness throughout our development pipeline giving assurance on the end quality of our product. My other key requirement was to build a production ready solution, by researching technologies that best suited our product and allowed for portability, consistency and integrity.

My role also included support of hosted environments and liaising with external parties to provide a stable and secure hosted platform for our customers.
