I spent time on the post-surgical floor, emergency department, cardiac care unit, intensive care unit, and telemetry floor. Assisted in creating plans of care, interventions, and discharge planning depending on the individuals' needs. Interventions performed included basic ADL training, transfer training/assistance, assistive device and gait training, integumentary care, management of lines and tubing, postural draining, stroke management, etc.

Evaluated, created plans of care, actively treated, and created discharge plans. Here I was able to work and communicate with other medical professionals including an attending physician, medical assistants, and other support staff. All interventions and assessment were documented professionally and in a timely manner to optimize patient care and ensure reimbursement.

Assisted in neurodevelopmental therapeutic interventions such as Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI). MNRI is a neurodevelopmental therapy that uses proprioception to help integrate primitive reflexes in special needs children that haven't developed them naturally.
