The chain consists of 102 stores, 24 owned centrally and 78 operated by franchisees, all located in Sweden. In total the chain employees 700 people. Turnover in fiscal year 2010 was SEK 1.7 billion. The chain has been a member of the international Euronics purchase collaboration since 2006.The role as MD for Hemmabutikerna involved the enforcement of annual cost savings of SEK 40 million, improving margins and creating a positive operating income for the chain. In a consolidation phase it was concluded that the new organization was viable and focus could shift to growth and expansion; Brand re-positioning, new store locations and new store concepts, e-commerce and strategic alliances with other retail chains.In the beginning of 2012 ICA divested all shares to EEL AB.
