20 years experience in various facets of Engineering.Proficient in CAD, steel selection & fabrication, laser cutting technology, welding and product design. Specialised in CAD automation, standardisation and continuous improvement.Moved to Victoria, Australia to play semi-professional cricket for a season in 2011... wound up staying for twelve years before moving back to the UK in February 2023.Coached and captained two semi-pro Australian cricket clubs over the 12 year period, each of which comprised of 4 senior teams. Learnt and consequently played semi-pro Australian Rules Football during this time also.Former Business owner; Engineering solutions company operating near Melbourne and dealing in general fabrication, CAD, laser cutting, reverse engineering and product design and development. Owned my own engineering equipment including welding setups (MIG and TIG), CO2 laser cutter, 3D printer and a 3x2m fibre laser cutter. Held several contracts with other local and interstate engineering businesses. Sold due to effects of Covid plus a desire to return to the UK.Aside from still playing sport, I continue to challenge myself physically and mentally; last year I finished the St Kilda triathlon and a year later completed the Rob Burrow, Leeds marathon. I’m a firm believer in continuous growth, learning and positive transmutation.I read a lot of books in my spare time - my favourite being ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill (highly recommended), I have a Cert II in animal care, am a qualified animal groomer, avid investor in stocks and shares and I also recently attained a CPD accreditation in British Sign Language.
