I created a non-for profit rescue centre for stray and surrendered cats in order to assist with overloading and consequently reducing the rapidly increased rate of euthanasia.Funded by my main business (Innovative Change), I organised and educated several volunteers and in one year personally managed to rescue and re-home 48 cats, 2 dogs and 1 long-neck turtle (named Leonardo); whilst also reuniting many lost pets with their owners and assisting struggling pet owners and rescues with vet bills. This led to me doing work experience in my local Vet, which allowed me to attain a Cert II in Animal Care.In that time I also raised over $20k in support of native wildlife, affected by the catastrophic 2019/20 East Gippsland bushfires.
