I am a guidance, navigation and control (GNC) engineer with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and testing new guidance algorithms. Guidance algorithms designed and written by me are currently fielded on multiple systems. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to see my work from initial derivation with the calculus of variations to flight test and actual application. In addition to seeing my algorithms fly, my most rewarding experiences has been working directly with the warfighter - an opportunity enjoyed by few engineers. These times are as educational for me as it is them - and I enjoy bridging the communication gap between the engineers and the users. Due to the broad nature of my work, I have experience with missile guidance algorithm design, Kalman filter design for tracking applications, distributed computing (HPC), machine learning, design of simulation experiments, software unit testing, embedded programming, lab testing on a bench, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and development, target tracking algorithm development, and planning and executing flight testing with most of the branches of the US military. For the challenge and for profit, I also design, write, and implement automated low- and medium-frequency trading algorithms on the NinjaTrader platform for currency instruments. These trading algorithms utilize statistical significance and/or patterns reflected across multiple time frames, discovered and tuned via machine learning techniques such as genetic programming, particle swarm optimization, and/or genetic optimization.
