The Program Coordination Office provides assurance, supports strategic oversight and coordinates initiatives across NSW Planning's programs and projects.In this role I was responsible for:-Portfolio and Project Management Reporting in PowerBI-Implementation of SAP PPM/PS Module for Plannning NSW-Funding Management for $400m of program funding

Designing and implementing process and technology improvements for Finance teams.

Lead analyst on the implementation of the CALUMO Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance Management platform across the NSW Planning, Industry & Environment (PIE) cluster. This role involved a broad range of responsibilities, such as:-End to end budget process system design for over $8 billion annual state funding, including the 10-year costing for 7,000 FTEs with approval workflows, capital planning, and full trial balance budgeting.-Standardised interactive financial report and dashboard design for over 800 users, including senior executives, as well as finance staff.-Financial data mapping & OLAP dimension modelling for 7 separate SAP ERP instances, and other key data sources such as NSW Treasury PRIME, SAP Fieldglass, SAP Ariba.-Significant volumes of Excel data extraction, transformation, validation and reconciliation within tight project deadlines.-Solution design for consolidated & eliminated management reporting using transaction counter parties and inter-company accounts for over 40 legal entities in the PIE cluster.-Automated template design of annual financial statements for 17 NSW Government Agencies-Coordination of demonstrations, development of UAT plans, user support and training across NSW.-Liason with a range of technical teams and project managers to pass on business requirements.-Design, develop and maintained the system's internal security matrix, including the model for delegation of read/write budget access, and read/write HR data access.

This role focused on business partnering and reporting for the internal Corporate Services function.

-Preparing Budget submissions for NSW Treasury review and reporting on actual, budget & forward estimates by program/outcome, and resolving counter-party issues.-Designed a VBA coded template to collect, aggregate and report on the Planning & Environment Cluster FY2017-18 Labour Expense Cap and operating expenditure budget allocations, with costing to a detailed organisational business plan. -Developing monthly management reports to a number of NSW government agencies within the Planning & Environment Cluster. These reports were created in Excel from SAP data and included dashboards, P&L and Balance Sheet actuals, budget, commitments, forecasts and commentary.-Finance business partnering with line managers and executive responsible for internal corporate service functions. This involves presenting monthly reports, maintaining cost centre structures, assistance in business case preparation, forecasting and providing ad-hoc analysis.-Providing reporting for capital expenditure projects, such as the digitalisation of the state’s planning system, organisation-wide relocation decisions, and deployment of IT infrastructure.-Developing monthly FTE and labour expenditure reporting for the cluster, with volume & rate variance analysis, commitments and forecasting.-Consolidated management reporting for the Department’s Corporate Service functions. This involved development of reports by aggregating financial data between multiple systems and eliminating transactions between two entities.-Preparation and update of senate estimate notes.-Providing internal SAP ERP training for new finance and administrative staff.

-Assistance in preparation of the Department and cluster agency's annual financial statements.-Preparation of Month-end accrual and adjusting journals.-Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for multiple cluster agencies.-Providing support in SAP general ledger maintenance, SAP tax coding and technical issues.-Responding to internal and external audit queries.-Provided assistance in reporting for multiple tax areas (FBT, Payroll Tax and GST).-Database administrator and system tester of a web application generating over $22m of annual revenue for the Department.-Assumed responsibilities of the Finance Manager of the Planning Reform Fund, including liaison with local councils and individuals for the administration of the State’s Planning Reform Fee. -Treasury Financial Systems data entry.-Various accounts payable, receivable, purchasing, data collation and administrative tasks.
