Experienced Senior Architectural Technologist. Project Lead Designer on commercial, public, education and housing sectors. Typically I’m a technical designer with the responsibility of ensure we build a successful consultant team to deliver the client brief.What interests me most in Architectural Design on our usual commissions is looking for new approaches and finding innovative solutions to either challenge the brief, push the conceptual design, or find a construct-able solution to meet compliance and statutory constraints. Nearly a decade as a Revit evangelist in addition to another decade of AutoCAD experience. I’m always looking for marginal gains in project deliverables and new software workflows. My concept designs focus heavily on site and context, this informs my designs to override any personal preferences but in fact respond to the site and client.Architecturally my preference is simple modern design aesthetics, referencing mid century design vernaculars, but towards an ever more sustainable design solution. Playing with light, space and textural materiality are the most interesting projects and the ones I enjoy the most.Looking to the future of my designs, sustainability in my design ethos, reductions in carbon and increased learning to respond even more to climate, context and light will be my focus.
