With more than 40 years of industry experience, I look forward to serving every workday as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager at James Posey Associates on some of the country’s most significant renovation projects. When I joined JPA in 1981, I was fortunate to learn from some of the best in the MEP engineering professions, and I am proud to say that is still the case. I am also now in the position to guide our junior staff in the practical application of electrical engineering and communications skills. My work for the Smithsonian Institution and Architect of the Capitol is both enjoyable and challenging; knowing that I can make a difference in maintaining the historic integrity of some of the nation’s most treasured assets is a constant reward. My passion for the work I do is fueled by the satisfaction of our clients, and knowing that I contributed to the safety and comfort of visitors to our capital’s public and government buildings. During my career I have also been active in industry-related organizations, such as IES Maryland, where I supervised the education department and served as an officer for 4 years. I completed numerous classes with Electric League of MD and IEEE, as well as college courses at local universities. My involvement in the world of electrical consulting engineering has been my life’s work and passion, and I take great pride in my vocation.
