Lead project engineer on a $32M plus program to convert all pre-merger Northwest Airlines (NWA) airplanes interiors into Delta Air Line’s standard interior colors and materials, including reliability improvements, product development and modifications for TSA security requirements. Responsibilities included oversight of 20+ engineers, AutoCAD drawings and work instructions quality, material lists, selecting suppliers, supplier deliverables for aftermarket replacement parts, flammability and installation certifications and timelines.

Authored closet, class dividers, Business Class seats, VIP swivel seats, Hi-Lo tables, and engineering Integration specifications. Selected manufacturers using decision matrices, i.e., cost, specification compliance, product support, reliability, and quality. Oversaw subcontractor engineering documentation quality. Traveled to supplier site key milestones: ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI. Drove to completion prototype installation, STC, TSO and PMA approvals on aftermarket parts and subsequent airplane modifications.Project engineer on $42M program to reconfigure Boeing 757-200 airplanes to fly international routes. Authored galley, closets, and lavatory specifications. Conducted on-site quality control at manufacturer's facility to complete prototype deliveries.Key member on team to develop, Beta test, and train other engineers on new Aircraft Maintenance Document System (AMDS) to author maintenance work instruction cards in XML format. Directly responsible for several GUI design improvements and significantly close gaps between design specifications and end user functionality.As project manager and engineer drove to conclusion project to modify all NWA Airbus A319 and A230 airplanes to comply with DOT requirement to provide passenger on-board priority wheelchair stowage in the aircraft cabin. Worked with In-flight, Composite Shop, Quality Assurance (QA), Legal, Maintenance, Materials and Planning to ensure project was completed on-time and in compliance with DOT and FAA regulations.Due to Act of Congress, was project manager and engineer on program to install new Passenger Safety Briefing Cards (PSBCs) on all NWA airplanes to comply with new regulation requiring country of final assembly be printed on PSBCs. Coordinated efforts with QA, Ground Operations, Maintenance, Print Shop, and Stores to ensure all aircraft were completed on-time and in compliance.
