Currently (past 2 years) a Feature Tester on a Feature Team tasked with maintaining and developing new deliverables for a major piece of our customer facing software. Plan Feature Testing around newly created features and updates to existing ones. Facilitate handoffs of software feature(s) from Developers to Quality Assurance. Educate and disseminate information on features to the rest of the Quality Assurance team or other teams as needed. Create new tests or edit existing ones as features require, most of which are based off of the perspective of the End User's experience. Use existing Security Software, such as BURP Suite or OWASP Scanner, to ensure our software is up to date on CVE's and secure. Work with Automators to move manual tests into automation tests or create new automation tests to cover the needed scope of a product or user experience. Work with Off-Shore Quality Assurance to ensure they have the information needed to complete their testing tasks. Participate in weekly Scrum meetings, tasking, and planning. Plan Regression test cycles to ensure our team's code is free of regressions prior to release. Previously (2015-2017) worked on a System Test team, tasked with testing every major release candidate prior to release, and then once again after the software was shipped. Worked multiple release nights and weekends to ensure the product delivered was free of regressions and major bugs. Both roles involve a nearly endless cycle of preparing for the next release, feature, or patch as needed. Meaning a constant state of juggling multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of productivity (i.e. shipping multiple releases in a short time frame as System Tester, or shipping multiple Scrum Story Points in a similarly tight window as Feature Tester).
