Data Engineering Manager
Current• Lead a team of Data Engineers. Execute daily stand-ups and weekly touch base meetings. Encourage a feedback culture by having open, honest dialogue and seeking input from entire team. Advocate for process and software improvements by collaborating with Product, Development, and Customer Success teams. Schedule and assign Data Engineers for projects. Sustain visibility into daily operations with Player-Coach leadership style. Assist with onboarding and training of new employees who work closely with Data Engineering team.• Identify areas for increased efficiency and customer data integrity. Developed automated quality assurance testing that eliminated 200+ hours of labor for the Data Engineering team.• Championed transition of project management software from Basecamp to Asana resulting in elimination of duplicative programs. Designed customer project management template for repeatable, uniform processes used company wide. Continuously update due to the rapid nature of changes in the software• Directed migration of ~300 customers from former proprietary program to new, multi-functional software providing cross-platform analytics• Practice agile methodologies including Kanban to direct workflows for my team. Assist other teams in executing Kanban practices• Update weekly reporting of customer implementations to leadership and monthly progress of team goals for immediate manager. Quarterly reporting of talent reviews to executive leadership for succession planning.• Invited as subject matter expert to help overcome customer data challenges and brainstorm sustainable solutions.
