Bad Cop Studios (Student Dev Team) Jan 2016 - Jun 2016
Bad Cop Studios produced the game Project Perfect Citizen, a rhetorically focused surveillance storytelling game wherein the player investigates text messages and desktops to convict supposed criminals. The student development team of ten worked on the game for six months and released the game publicly on itch.io. The team used SCRUM to meet tight prototype / release deadlines and maintain steady progress. See Project Section for more details on the game itself.I designed and organized the implementation of the custom 2D engine used for Project Perfect Citizen along with implementing many parts of the engine including the window system, object system, event system, and the tutorial system. I also maintained a clean and efficient code base and kept the engine adaptive to our needs as they fluctuated in development. The game was programmed using C++ and SFML.
