In this role I perform laboratory analyses. These include serology, parasitology and the microscopic examination of stained slides for diagnosis purposes. Tasks include the receiving, processing and testing of samples, the writing and sending of reports and a variety of other task such as assisting with post-mortem examinations and the sending of samples.

During my time at Berry Plants Ltd I was part of a team, propagating strawberry plants. This involved taking cuttings from mother plants and planting them. This was either as a product sold on to strawberry growers or as research varieties which go on to be tested.
