Constructed an online disaster detection system by implementing natural language processing and machine learning models to detect, analyze disasters and improve response management.

The Data Platform ingests, processes and analyzes streams of data from millions of wearabledevices and sensors. Built a data lake index that helps data scientists make informed queries by better understanding the data stored in the data lake. Used Airflow, Spark and AWS EMR.

-Workflow Automation: Built the workflow functionality to allow customers to automate routine tasks and optimize processes directly within the Appfolio application. This became a core feature of the company's premium product offering.-Machine Learning for Home Purchases: Created machine learning models for predicting home purchase likelihood based on rental history and neighborhood characteristics.

Research on modeling urban revival in America over the past decades. Used Python, MATLAB, and GIS to conduct spatial analyses while introducing parallel computing to gain a 20x speed up of legacy data pipelines.

Working primarily with Telecommunications, Software and Technology Startup companies to launch new businesses with projects completed in North & South America, Europe and the Middle-East. Select project experiences include:•Nationwide Mobile Operator Launch (Mexico City, Mexico): Modeled the future demand for mobile services in Mexico for a multi-billion dollar investment in a new nationwide mobile network, to connect 98% of the Mexican population – the largest public infrastructure project in Mexican history. •Technology Commercialization (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia): Designed a tech-commercialization strategy for a Middle-Eastern university through industry partnering, resulting in multi-million dollar industry investments in academic research.

•Business Wireless Service Launch (Doha, Qatar): Planned the international launch of a new wireless service for a telecommunications company through marketing strategy, with a planned revenue target of $100 million by 2018.•Customer Experience Management, (Seattle, WA): Working with a mobile operator to improve customer loyalty through data-driven customer analytics—resulting in the retention of 75,000 high-value customers over 6 months.

•Supported a research project in defining key success factors for public transportation investments through database management and analysis, resulting in what is regarded by media as “a landmark report in transportation research”.

•Contributed to a research study that measured behavioral changes in consumer spending associated with direct government financial stimulus through text analysis and by conduction an event study on time series data.
