Responsible for developing long term plans for the distribution system, liaising with the high pressure (HP) gas provider, heat area management and supporting other business units. Long term plans include the conceptual design of pipeline feeder systems including the identification of supply points. Coordination with the HP provider involves submitting applications for service, HP pressure requests and coordinating HP service interruptions. Heat area management includes the design and monitoring of distribution heat areas to ensure customers are billed correctly. Planning supports various business units including Distribution Design, Pressure Control, UPR, CDQ, UFG, PMR/SMR, Operations and Regulatory. This is done through project initiation teams, distribution system modelling, supplying load information, preparing Operating Plans and sizing meters.

I was one of 25 hand selected grade 11 students from the CBE to be a participant in the International Youth Leadership Summit being held in Beijing, China that year. As a participant, I was expected to learn and absorb the qualities and aspects of leadership, in a way that I could apply them to everyday situations, and to my work in the future. In addition, I presented myself in a way that other international students could learn how students from Canada were, while I did the same with them.
