Developed and tested CRISPR "InDelphi," a machine learning algorithm capable of predicting CRISPR-Cas9 repair outcomes with unprecedented accuracy. Results published in Nature.Designed and performed high-throughput screens of exogenous gene expression in mES, HEK293, U2OS, HepG2, HCT116, DLD1, and other cell lines.Generated and performed high-throughput exome screens with Cas9-CRISPR - quantifying loss and gain of function (using Cas9 and dCas9) of specific genes in mouse embryonic stem (mES) cells. Particularly focused on genes whose altered expression has been implicated in disease (notably, breast cancer).Performed multiplexed transcription factor binding assays (DamID).

Worked to understand the response of the adaptive immune system to gut microbiota under ordinary conditions and in patients diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). Developed microassay to determine quantity of specific antigen expression by gut bacteria isolated from lumen and serum samples. Later, worked to identify brain areas at risk of stroke using MRI by generating maps of cerebrovascular reactivity.

Developed two software tools using zSpace, a next-generation 3D holographic platform. zMol is a teaching tool used to visualize organic compounds. Includes ring and double-bonding functionality, along with a 3-d periodic table which may be explored to choose any element for use in a molecular structure. zTree is designed to assist in visualizing hierarchical data via an intuitive GUI. 3D carousels display data and may be manipulated through the use of the zSpace's stylus. zTree was submitted to the iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) competition, and advanced to the world finals.

Measured differential protein expression in cancer cells and analyzed results to determine potential efficacy of antibody therapies targeting these proteins. Worked with techniques including flow cytometry, gel electrophoresis, and quantitative real-time PCR.
