With over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with a strong emphasis in the areas of project and team management, manufacturing engineering, capital equipment, and continuous improvement. I also have years of experience using many Microsoft software platforms (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CAD platforms such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE• Management of capital projects: Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and engineering project teams from project inception through reconciliation. Evaluate potential safety benefits, environmental impacts, and labor efficiencies toward project justification. Provide “Capital Appropriations Request” document representing justification for capital procurement. Communicate openly and work closely with internal and external customers and vendors.• Machine Design and Build: Design, build, install and/or procure capital equipment to include: Manufacturing, automation, punching, shearing and stamping, converting and downline processing, and shrink wrapping equipment. Work closely with Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and all need Engineering Departments.• Continuous Improvement: Evaluated production flow and labor efficiencies through the utilization of Lean principles: Operations such as 5S, process Takt timing, and labor diagraming assist in identifying areas, of labor and material wastes to be addressed. Lead and assisted as a support member in a number of Continuous Improvement Teams. These teams pursue improvements that promote a safer work environment, with higher quality products, and cost savings benefits.
