Responsible for newspaper prepress department including page output, imposition and CtP (computer to plate). Also responsible for quality assurance and commercial printing of newspapers, inserts and other printed materials.

Took over management of company which recently purchased a 17 year old Sir Speedy franchise. Initiated acquisition, followed by installation of Heidelberg Quickmaster DI 46-4 and Quickmaster 46-2 presses to modernize services and financially turn the business around. Later installed A.B. Dick 9910 and RIPit CtP platesetter to complete updating pre-press and press equipment. Responsibilities include general and sales management as well as hiring and training staff in electronic imaging and direct digital copying and printing technology. Also responsible for the financial management of the company, bookkeeping, payroll, estimating and pricing.

Responsible for general management of all phases of quality commercial printing plant including business and production. Installed and maintained computerized estimating/management system including data collection and job control. Installed and maintained state-of-the-art electronic pre-press network including both MacIntosh/PC desktop publishing workstations, scanners, color management and manipulation, Windows NT OPI central server, imposition, and both Agfa and Linotronic imagesetters/RIPS. Duties over the years included estimating, quality control, equipment and supplies evaluation and acquisition, personnel, electronic pre-press and some outside sales on large accounts.

Upscale lifestyle magazine covering the Southwest Florida Gulfcoast. In charge of graphic design, ad and page production, systems and printing.

Graphic design studio and print broker. Designed and produced magazines, brochures, advertising campaigns, POP campaigns for clients and publishers.

Supervised art and production of six weekly tabloid newspapers and two weekly cableguides, including layout, design, production, photography, prepress and web-offset printing.
