I am a highly experienced multimedia journalist and editor. I worked at the same newspaper, although it switched ownership multiple times during my tenure, for twenty years. For the past twenty years, I have seen journalism change significantly; I have moved from in person to internet, from submitting articles on paper to submitting articles digitally, and pivoted to take advantage of the development of social media through frequently uploading digital media.I have covered almost everything in the news field, but a global pandemic that impacted the security of my job is a new one. I am currently searching for a new job in the field of journalism, and an employer who can benefit from my experience. Journalism is my passion and has been since my time in college when I got involved in the student run newspaper. After all no one is in journalism for the pay, right? People need accurate information to be good citizens in our republic.
