As a guide, I presented London on microphone from an open top bus. I have acquired extensive knowledge of all the main London sights throughout The City of Westminster, The City of London, Tower Hamlets and The Borough of Southwark. I conducted three tours per day, each ranging from two and a half to three hours. I had to stay enthused and on-topic to present an informative, stimulating and entertaining tour of the capital city. This required high energy and motivation. During the height of the tourist season, I frequently worked a seven day rota totalling some twenty one tours. In addition, I welcomed and assisted people with enquiries regarding restaurants, theatre shows, routes to the airport and shopping, endeavouring to maximise their visitor experience to London in particular and the U.K. in general.

Arranging conference and break out rooms. Agreeing theme details and finalising seating for the Gala Dinner. Ensuring delivery of room gifts, awards and prizes. Hospitality desk management for trip duration. General guest needs and requirements.

Based in Luxor, Egypt. As an Overseas Holiday Representative, one was rarely off duty. I looked after large groups of people from their arrival in resort to departure. My responsibilities were multifold: checking flight manifests and hotel allocations; overseeing and maintaining the high quality of clients’ holiday experience including airport meet and greet, transfers, hotel accommodation and excursions. On a weekly basis, I would host welcome meetings and present the various excursions, make bookings, collect monies and account for same within the resort. Turnaround day involved eight flights on the day. I supervised the departures for passengers returning to and from Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham. The work provided exellent experience in retail marketing, account liquidation, airline and airport procedures, room allocations, hospitality desk duties and general client care management.
