Mr. Machek is valued by his employers as a leader in his field, and a reliable source for independent project management and field work. He has spent more than half of the past twelve years of his career as the wildlife crew leader on large-scale construction projects, and is adept at creating and working within project budgets. He works on all phases of infrastructure and land-management projects; from project permitting, surveying and monitoring, interfacing with agencies, and post project mitigation and rehabilitation. Mr. Machek has extensive experience and a working knowledge of survey protocols for federal and state listed and regulated species, including: foothill yellow-legged and red-legged frog, western pond turtle, native fish, migratory birds, and bats. Trapping and relocating aquatic species is one of his specialties. He adapts quickly to changing work environments, and remains a steady and reliable biologist for his company. Mr. Machek’s field experience working on large scale construction sites, training as a Wilderness First Responder, and swift water rescue training has given him a strong safety calculus.
