Daniel has been a part of the Market Analysis and Risk Team within the Wholesale Sell-Side directorate. His most used programming languages are Python (pandas, numpy and sklearn) and SQL and he also frequently uses Tableau.• Daniel has been worked with a range of data sources to determine whether there would be significant fluctuations in commodity prices in the near future. Using machine learning, he was able to predict large risk to any commodities traded in London with 90% accuracy and predict next day price moves with 83% accuracy.o After experimenting with a variety of target variables, Daniel worked with venue supervisors and market experts to best determine what would most likely create a market wide risk that could either damage either the competitiveness of London as a global trading centre or cause enough firm failures to create a market event of its own.• In a major project, Daniel looked at two trillion transactions records from reporting under MiFID II. He was able to analyse the data for several research notes and subsequently prep it for use in Tableau by supervisors.• Daniel has produced a number of research notes on a variety of topics as needed by the wider department. Writing many notes has greatly improved Daniel’s written communication abilities.• In more ad-hoc work, he works to urgently determine any and all risks to the UK market and any UK counterparties following crises in banks in the UK and abroad.
