Colorado, about attorney conflicts, and an amicus brief in Denezpi v. United States, about double jeopardy for tribal prosecutions. Analyzed legal strategies in over 40 amicus briefs filed supporting petitioners, gave tactical advice to drafting team, edited Colorado’s brief, and mooted Solicitor General in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, about civil rights laws and the First Amendment, which was argued in December 2022. Author answer briefs in criminal appeals cases on issues such as hearsay, expert testimony, and jury instructions, and presented four oral arguments before the Colorado Court of Appeals. Will brief and argue a criminal case in the Colorado Supreme Court in spring 2023. Write dispositive motions, manage expert witnesses, and will conduct depositions in a Second Amendment challenge to Colorado’s large capacity magazine ban in federal court. Show less
