Currently I am a data analyst for Philips of North America located at their Nashville office. The role I play at Philips is two-fold. The first role is one of a project manager. I am responsible for gathering requirements on a project, managing stakeholders, presenting findings, as well as managing deadlines. The second aspect of the role is developing the product itself. For most projects I am the sole developer on it, though I am surrounded by an incredibly helpful team that is always willing to lend a hand or ear.The team I am on is the Data Operations team, and our team tends to get one of two projects. Most commonly we are requested to build a dashboard (Microsoft's PowerBI is our tool of choice) for an internal client, usually another team that doesn't have a dedicated analyst. These range wildly in scope, but usually involve finding back-end data from SAP to help the team visualize a problem they're having. Another common request is the building an application (PowerApps/PowerAutomate are our tools of choice) to help streamline or standardize a process. These tend to be more complex than the dashboards since they can be much larger in scope. For dashboards the scope is typically limited to a team, but for applications the scope can be as small as a single team, or as large as reshaping the Philips global process, which I have had the privilege to work on some of those projects.Outside of work I enjoy playing the piano, going to the range, doing Bible study, playing beach volleyball, and in general being outdoors with friends or family.
