EDEC is a specialist online and in-person therapy service that integrates physical/psychological approaches to empower people to find a healthy relationship with exercise whilst working towards recovery from an eating disorder.

I currently work as a DBT Therapist with clients presenting with eating disorders/personality disorder alongside comorbidities. I see clients for 1-1 therapy sessions and run therapeutic groups on the eating disorder inpatient unit.

Dual practitioner role: DBT Therapist + Physiotherapist for clients with eating disorders, personality disorder and complex PTSD.

-Deliver 1-1 DBT to females with borderline personality disorder and eating disorders.-Facilitate DBT skills groups.-Integrate DBT into OT/Physiotherapy interventions, where appropriate.

* To manage, plan, and evaluate the Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy service provided to patients with an eating disorder and/or personality disorder.* To manage and lead an Occupational Therapy team including qualified occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.* To hold a specialist caseload utilising a high level of clinical decision making and specialist clinical skill to diagnose, assess, implement and evaluate highly specialist programmes of care. This includes using:Extensive Physiotherapy/Occupational therapy based assesment/treatment.CBT and DBT based approaches. CBT/Physiotherapy based groups focusing on excessive exercise.MANTRA informed groups.1-1 DBT and DBT skills groups* Responsible for making relevant changes and adaptions for the therapy timetable across both the eating disorder and personality disorder ward.* To develop new pathways, assessments and interventions.

I worked part-time as a physiotherapist across both an eating disorder and personality disorder ward. My role involved: -Setting up a physiotherapy service for women with an eating disorder and/or personality disorder.-Running 1-1 and group sessions to improve the service user’s physical and mental health.-Training, development and staff recruitment.-Develop assessments and pathways.

UOB have developed a new role emerging placement for students to develop a physiotherapy service in mainstream secondary schools.-I aid in the creation and development of a Physiotherapy programme that can be delivered in a mainstream school setting.-I provide weekly (long arm) supervision to students on placement in a mainstream school. -I provide the students with training and resources.-Alongside another educator based in the school, I assess the students ability on the placement and decide on their final mark.

The Children’s Wellbeing team use low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy to treat children and young people, aged between 4 – 18, experiencing anxiety, depression and challenging behaviour. As we are an early intervention service, we also see cases of young people with more severe mental health needs such as early onset psychosis and eating disorders of whom we signpost to relevant services. • I complete detailed CAMHS assessments on children experiencing signs of anxiety, depression, challenging behaviour and other low to moderate mental health conditions.• I work one to one with children aged 11+ and parents of children below 11 to complete guided self-help based on CBT.• I create safety plans for young people who self-harm and have suicidal thoughts.• I help run the ‘Incredible ‘Years’ group programme for parents of children with challenging behaviour.

Blossom House School is an SEN school for children aged between 3-19, primarily with speech and language difficulties and ASD. It also has children with physical disabilities and issues surrounding mental health. As the only Physiotherapist my role includes:• Providing physiotherapy for all children aged 3-19 that require it.• Planning and providing group physiotherapy lessons as part of the curriculum.• Providing individual physiotherapy for children with specific needs.• Managing my own caseload and overseeing all physiotherapy related concerns.

I lived and worked in a centre situated in France and housed fifty unaccompanied refugee minors (16-18), taken from the Calais refugee camp. My role included:• Living with unaccompanied minors to provide twenty-four-hour support.• Liaising with charities to provide the minors with essentials such as mobile phones.• Assisting in the making of the minor’s applications for asylum in the UK.• Supporting the minors with daily life and providing a wide range of activities.

Cressey College is a multi-site special school for students with social, emotional and behavioural needs. • I provided teaching support on a one to one basis with the most challenging pupils aged between 9-11, who were unable to be taught in a group. • I used physical intervention and de-escalation strategies to support children who can be violent on a daily basis.
