Passionate, dedicated, and kind are words that are often used to describe me. I've had the great honor of serving my community as a first responder for over 25 years. 21 of those years was as a firefighter at the Ada Fire Department. I retired as a captain in 2019 to become the manager of Pontotoc County Central Dispatch/Ada 9-1-1 and continue to serve with great zeal. Health and fitness are important to me and I've competed on American Ninja Warrior in 2014 and in 2019. If all goes well and I get the call, I really hope to be back in 2024. I believe I'm a better servant and a better leader when I invest time in my health and wellness. Finally and most important, I'm very dedicated to my family and my faith. Janel and I have been married since 1993, we have a daughter Grace in college, and a son Blaise in high school. Since fall of 2020 I've been the pastor at Oakman Community Church.Leadership and communication skills are very important to me. I've had the great privilege of teaching classes I developed all across our country. I've been in Florida, California, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas helping others learn and grow.I recognize that some days are tougher than others, but I like to say that "My favorite days are days that end in Y."
