Daniel Lanthier is a motivated executive administrator with 40+ years of experience in the non-profit sector in Pakistan, India, Canada, France and Switzerland. He has devoted the past 18 years to the establishment and growth of social and educational development programs for underserved deaf children and youth in Pakistan. His experience in establishing and maintaining seven Deaf Reach Schools, servicing 1400+ students, has uniquely equipped him with a diverse array of skills, including project management, relationship-building, operational administration and quality assurance, for the effective administration and service excellence of a non-profit organization operating in a challenging environment.FESF’s Deaf Reach program was established in 2002 to provide access to education, language, and skills development to deaf children in Pakistan. FESF’s strategy has been 1) to create a functioning network of Schools for the Deaf which also serve as a replicable model, and 2) to leverage technology to revolutionize Deaf Education through the documentation of Pakistan Sign Language and development of digital educational resources for integration into schools that cater to the Deaf Pakistan-wide. The efforts of FESF’s Deaf Reach program to provide inclusive, equitable education to the Deaf in their native Pakistan Sign Language was awarded the 2018 World Innovation Summit in Education (WISE) Award and Pakistan’s P@SHA 2018 Award (https://www.fesf.org.pk/awards).
