As the Senior Applications Engineer at Vilter Manufacturing my main task is to support the Gas Compression and Heat Pump business. Since coming to Vilter, my main goal was to enhance the existing programmable controller program used. I also am tasked with writing additional custom code when necessary due to customer requirements. I also support our customers and field techs through phone support as well as on-site visits for the purpose of system commissioning, as well as field modifications to existing systems. Siemens PLC/HMI solution in the works. Working with RENU PLC/HMI as well.
Milwaukee, Wi, Us
I worked at Rockwell Automation’s Motor Control Center group mainly on large projects. I left Rockwell for Vilter Manufacturing at the end of January 2009.
Milwaukee, Wi, Us
Worked out of the Milwaukee District Office supporting RA customers on-site. During my tenure with the office I originally worked on day to day service calls. I then spent 7 ½ years supporting the General Motors plant in Janesville WI, through 2000. After that I spent a year at Cleaver-Brooks assisting them in developing a CampactLogix based control for their boiler options (recently I came across two boilers in California with those programs running). After Cleaver-Brooks, I spent most of my time converting most of the paper plants in Wisconsin from PLC-3’s to CLX’s. The last conversion I did I converted (5) PLC-3 programs and swapped them all out on a single day.
Milwaukee, Wi, Us
My main functions in this position was to technically support RA’s growing field organization on the products at the time based out of the main facility in Milwaukee. This included phone support, training, and service calls to customer sites around the country.
Briefly worked in the Battery Division at Johnson Controls. My main task was to support the various battery manufacturing sites located across the US. Left JCI to return to Rockwell Automation.
I started in the Custom Controls engineering group working on PLC systems when they were just coming out. The last project I worked on was a continious caster in Pennsylvania that contained (6) PLC-3's.
