I have been in the Radio industry for 10 years. I started as a rental coordinator then progressed from apprentice to my current role which is Communications and Systems Technical supervisor.Roles and Responsibilities• Meet with clients to discuss communication requirements and give professional advice to tailor a solution on a case-by-case basis.• Setting up temporary repeaters and conducting site surveys.• Creating Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for Sales.• Detailed discussions with my team and sales on proposals and projects.• Selected correct equipment from stock to ensure it is suitable for the job and fit for purpose.• Write codeplugs and tune duplexers on General dynamics R8100.• Climb cranes around Melbourne city and install the radio and antenna into the cab while in situ.• Create service reports and log time for billing of clients.• Complete SWMS/ documentation for clients when needed.• Use Capacity plus single site where needed.• Interstate travel for work all over the country; Technical lead onsite for events such as the Darwin V8 supercars, Commonwealth games. • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.• Ensure stock levels are correct and laisse with sales support to re order• Understand RF principles and frequencies.• Some experience in T pass multi coupling.• Confident using Motorola CPS1, CPS2 and Radio management.
