After graduating from college with honors, he began teaching in northeastern Colorado. While teaching, he completed a Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Higher Education in Student Affairs Leadership. He began working for Colorado Mesa University out of Grand Junction as their Denver representative in admissions. After a year, he went to work at Morgan Community College as the Director of Guidance and Placement and the ADA Coordinator. At MCC, he worked with students with disabilities, did academic advising, and career counseling. In addition to MCC employment, he served on the Board of the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce, on the Eastern Region Youth Council, on the Rural Consortium Youth Council, on the State Youth Council, on the board of Blue Horizons, and on the Eastern Colorado Workforce Investment Board. He served on the City of Fort Morgan City Council, representing Ward 1. In late 2017, Daniel made a career change and works as a Sales Consultant for Morton Buildings. He meets with potential clients, closes deals on new buildings and repairing buildings, and manages the work to completion. He has developed a passion for meeting new people and working with clients and sub-contractors to direct projects through to completion.
