I love to travel and learn about the local culture wherever I go. Learning about history is the first step to understanding people. Wherever I visit a museum without a tour guide I feel like I am missing out a lot of background information and whenever I am part of a group tour I feel like I also get information that are not to my personal interest. Covid changed group tours drastically and since I am a software developer I decided to tackle this challenge and build a digital tour guide. I kept a few ground rules which I learned during my travels for the development process and made a guide for 100+ languages so everyone understands. I made the guide web accessible so no matter what impairment you might have, you can still operate the guide and get all the information.The guide is as simple as it gets so you do not need a software engineering degree to use it.Having fun is as important as information so you will find quizzes and Augmented Reality filters for unique selfies and the best social media content.I also got lost a few times so I implemented a map with a location sharing feature so my group can easily find me and I can find my way back to them.
