Provided Project Management services to Ericsson Network Rollout Command Center (NRCC) during the 2013 Sprint Network Vision project. During my time with Ericsson I was responsible for developing processes at NRCC and within the RAN and Network Build organizations that efficiently deliver quality indoor, outdoor, and DAS solutions to Sprints CDMA, EVDO, and LTE network. I was also responsible for managing various escalations in the Sprint NV project, assembling representatives from necessary organizations to quickly and effectively resolve issues as they arose.

Responsible for the overall success of projects within the organizations managed services offering. Typically assigned to more challenging projects where a focus on project efficiency and risk management are critical to the organizations success and its bottom line. As an example: The Sprint/Nextel Device Test and Certification Program was almost $100,000 in the hole after the first three months. I was able to bring the Program back to profitability within two months while project costs were still being incurred. The program concluded with a 30% Gross Profit Margin overall.Also required to leverage my broad and diverse technical background to:• Advise senior management on the engineering and technical issues facing current programs as well as projects and programs still in the pipeline.• Solve engineering and technical issues directly when engineering and technical resources are thin.• Work with other engineering organizations to solve multijurisdictional engineering and technical issues facing projects.Regularly deployed to lead complex new engineering based services and programs including• AT&T BOT prototype development where I used my engineering skills to implement engineering and design changes to overcome design and performance issues.• Developing engineering processes and procedures for new engineering service offering that led to the successful introduction of prelaunch optimization service for Ericsson.

Provided technical expertise and leadership to our client during their recent conversion from Expedience to WiMAX and during their large market roll-outs of WiMAX. Developed a reputation and was highly sought after by many markets for my ability to quickly identify and solve highly technical issues in the WiMAX RAN, and the radio Ethernet microwave back haul network on a large scale.

2008 – 2009 Sales Engineer/Program ManagerLeveraged my broad and diverse technical background and program management skills to provided support in scoping and bidding services to Motorola, Powerwave, ClearWire, and Open Range Communications2004-2007 Field Engineer & Market LeadProvided technical expertise and Market Deployment Leadership to Motorola’s Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint account teams during their 1X, Packet Backhaul, and EVDO upgrade projects. By working closely with the customer, coordinating team activities, resolving issues, and providing technical support, I helped to ensure the upgrade packages were successfully delivered in more than a dozen markets.

I wrote and produced a Project Management CD, which was the first of an eleven volume series designed to help organizations implement and integrate Project Management for Strategic Advantage. I also took on several small contracts as an advisor to “C” Level Management during Project Initiation.

2002-2002 Project Director, Motorola, Inc., SprintPCS National 3G/1X Hardware Upgrade ProjectResponsible for the management and coordination of PM resources for 8 U.S. markets to develop and employ a 2-phase upgrade plan that would deploy, test and deliver 1X capability in over 3000 BTS sites within 16 weeks. The compressed schedule was the result of Sprints nation wide new technology roll-out and the marketing commitments associated with the increased functionality.2001-2002 Project Manager, Motorola, Inc., Factory ATP ProgramResponsible for the review and improvement of Acceptance Test Procedures performed during field deployments that were taking to long and resulting in unnecessary expense. I coordinated the efforts of contracted field personnel, Motorola factory management, and factory test engineers to examine how ATP might be completed in the factory prior to shipping. 2000-2001 Project Manager, Motorola, Inc., Oklahoma City & Portland Infrastructure RedeploymentAfter the successful test and acceptance of the delivered IS-634 trial systems in Oklahoma City and Portland, SprintPCS decided to redeploy Motorola CBSC and BTS hardware from those markets to other growing markets. This project required that the redeployment be done without jeopardizing warranties and without degradation of commercial system performance.

2000-2000 Contract Project Manager, Motorola, Inc., Nortel Switch Build out ProjectMotorola was prime on a contract to deliver Nortel Switching and all installation on a new MTSO recently built by iDen. The project, for a number of reasons, was behind schedule. I was employed to fast track the installation and commissioning of this switch. 1999-2000 Contract Project Manager, Motorola, Inc., Second Carrier Overlay and IS-634 Trial for SprintPCS – Oklahoma City & PortlandManaged thirty BTS and one CBSC installation and integration plus RF drive test plan and commercial test plan for trial. Was initially considered for the PM roll because of my ability to quickly identify and solve complex engineering and technical issues.1998-1999 Contract System Engineering ConsultantProvided technical advice to management regarding the network integration process while bringing a new market into commercial service for a major US Carrier.
